Freeway Closure at Green River Road Bridge

As always, it is our goal to provide you with a fast, safe and reliable commute, therefore, we want you to be aware of the following closures impacting the SR-91 Freeway.

During the night-time and early-morning hours of May 9-11, the 91 Freeway will be fully closed at Green River Road for construction work on the Green River Road Bridge. The 91 Express Lanes will be closed in conjunction with the 91 Freeway closures.

CLOSURE SCHEDULE:

WESTBOUND

All westbound SR-91 freeway lanes and the 91 Express Lanes will be closed during the following hours:

     Westbound Closure: Friday, May 9 at 10:00 p.m.
     Westbound Reopens: Saturday, May 10 at 8:00 a.m.

EASTBOUND

All eastbound SR-91 freeway lanes and the 91 Express Lanes will be closed during the following hours:

     Eastbound Closure: Saturday, May 10 at 11:00 p.m.
     Eastbound Reopens: Sunday, May 11 at 9:00 a.m.

Drivers are advised to use I-10 or SR-60 as alternate routes during these closures. For additional information regarding the SR-91 closures, please visit the Caltrans District 8 website.

2008 Scheduled Maintenance Closures

Every third Sunday, Caltrans performs regular maintenance of the 91 Express Lanes. On the scheduled Sunday, the Express Lanes are closed in both directions between the hours of 6 a.m. and 12 p.m. to ensure that proper cleaning and channelizer replacements can be made.

In the event of rain or other circumstances beyond our control, the scheduled maintenance may be postponed until the following Sunday. However, the next maintenance will be performed according to the regular schedule.
